More about El Milagro

CaboMagic - 10-12-2010 at 09:49 PM

I would like to make "you" more aware of my husbands story - people you love, care about, work with, go to school with, play sports with, are influenced by you. And maybe you'll find this story worthy of your support by telling others about it .. I sure hope so.

This story is complex - www.tommygarcia.com

Some key players:
Father Divine - An early champion for civil rights + integration + the wealthiest black man in America during the Great Depression. He died in 1965
Mother Divine #1 - a black woman - she died in the early 1940's.
Mother Divine #2 - a white woman - still alive but in feeble condition.
Father Divine married Mother Divine #2 in 1946 in Washington DC - in name only - to symbolize uniting people. They did not produce a child.

Rev Jim Jones (the nut who took people to their deaths in 1978 in Jonestown, Guyana by having them drink poison laced Kool Aid) was obsessed with Father Divines success and made numerous attempts to take over his organization in the late 1950's.

There are many who believe 8 yr old Tommy Garcia was brought to Father Divine in 1962 to thwart Jones' attempts. Why? Tommy was the product of a Mexican father and Greek-American mother - and most definitely a brown little boy. Father and Mother did not have a son, and needed a brown little boy to groom - who would have been the logical offspring of theirs, had they done so. Check out the website hosted by San Diego State University on Jonestown. Search Father Divine on their site & see for yourself what independant researchers say. www.jonestown.sdsu.edu

So, in 1962 Tommy was kidnapped from his Los Angeles home (near MacArthur Park) and abandonded by being delivered directly to Father Divine at Woodmont, his 74 acre estate just outside of Philadelphia, and presented to the community as the son of Father & Mother Divine. Tommy lived there until a year after Father Divine died, at which time Mother Divine had him enrolled in a nearby boarding school.

So where did I come in?

In 1993, our casual friendship had comfortably developed into a wonderful first date. Our second date was postponed when Tommy received a call from the Los Angeles Coroner who advised him that his younger, and only sister Susy had been murdered.

Later, Tommy asked me to read a feature article "Life After Heaven - The Lost Son of Father & Mother Divine" published Dec 1989 in the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper. He explained "There are things about me you dont know, and, when you know them, you may want nothing to do with me."

I read that newspaper article. I had so many questions. Tommy's candid answers were accented by anecdotes & stories. Some of my questions he could not answer - he had no idea. I needed to see if the stories he told me were true. I began my research at CSUN and UCLA libraries.

When I learned preliminarily everything Tommy told me was true, I made a promise - I would keep digging to find the answers, and even if I had to tell the story one set of ears/eyes at a time, I would do so.

People will do anything they can to cover up nefarious behaviour - destroying documents - destroying people.

The truth sets a person free, and, Tommy deserves this.

Susy's murder was my catalyst. She was only 4 months younger than me.

Sixteen years prior, Jan 1977, Susy - age 18 - married 60 yr old Max Shapiro - Elvis Presleys West Coast Dentist. Elvis insisted on hosting the event at his Palm Springs, CA home with Ginger Alden. Tommy refused to attend. He was After returning to Graceland, in August, Elvis died.

A gifted & working guitarist, Tommy socialized with musicians and celebrities. Among them: Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones, The Who, Journey, Bette Midler, Richard Schaal, Wendy Schaal, Valerie Harper, Ron Rifkin, John Savage, Cloris Leachman, Albert Popwell, Andy Williams, Robert Goulet. He had been an invited guest at the house on Cielo Drive where Sharon Tate was murdered. Susy met Max at one such celebrity-filled gathering.

Fast forward to Jan 2010 - Tommy was contacted by J.F. Pirro - Senior Writer for Main Line Today. While conducting research at a private school in an affluent suburb of Philadelphia he saw the Woodmont mansion on a hill and inquired about it. "Woodmont" became his initial target of interest for an article. Mr Pirro learned that Tommy had lived at Woodmont and wanted to ask about his experiences there. Seven months of interviews led to an unprecedented (for them) two part feature article about Tommy. Despite a couple of minor mistakes (for example, Susy was not married at Graceland), it's well presented. Its also the first time a professional has researched beyond surface/chit-chat information.
Part one "Prodigal Son" appeared in the September 2010 issue
Part two "Keys To The Kingdom" is in the October issue
Both are available online at www.mainlinetoday.com

Even tho Tommy was kidnapped, abandoned, endured mind control, brainwashing, drugs, murder, mysterious deaths of other loved ones - he never went to 'the dark side'. He is a remarkable man. He's kind, compassionate, generous and leads by example. Our success in Cabo San Lucas demonstrates that. Locals call him "El Milagro" - which means The Miracle. Tommy showed them how to blend the Mexican Way with American Standards - and gave those willing to work, a respectable way to earn a living. www.cabomagic.com He continues to lead by example showing them how to take care of one another when times are tough.

Yes, I am his wife and someone who does not yet know Tommy may think ' of course she says that' .. Actually, everyone who knows and meets Tommy become part of our 'cheerleading team' encouraging us to never give up. So I dont.

Thanks most sincerely for your time ........
