Paved road progress toward Gonzaga Bay

We left Gonzaga Bay heading north a few days ago, meeting pavement 21 miles into the journey although it is not yet drivable being still under construction. About two miles before the start of the climb over the sisters we were directed onto the new road. Many of the spectacular views that were available from the previous road are gone but the new highway is built to fine standards, guard rails, wide shoulders and a couple of scenic turn-outs. Puertecitos is indeed bypassed.

There was no sign of highway work south of the current pavement that is being laid.

The "nomad club" wouldn't like that. They want to keep revenue generating development out of the area.

Norte------I am thinking that SoCal had a few more resources to pull from (W. Sierra Nevada, N. CA, Colorado River, eastern Sierra)-------not Baja, tho. DeSal is the only answer, and perhaps can prove economically feasible--------we will see.

"Clean water" in arid lands is the world's next major problem, and that includes SoCal.

maybe they can get water out of rocks one day like they plan for on the moon.

i would love to have a property at gonzaga one day, elec would be nice but off grid is ok.

yeah Norte - there is a lot of anti development sentiment here, i could care less - i let the market decide.:wow::smug:
