Raining hard here in Ensenada now Wednesday morn. 10:30. All day yesterday and should subside tomorrow. This is great!

nATIONAL cITY DRY @ THIS TIME, but this nasty weather is keeping me from working....I wish I was in Baja right now..

Except for the road to Maneadero. The dirt patches in the pot-holes have been washed out and it's bad. I mean......BAD.
It's now called the Ivan Stewart Highway.

At least the dirt was only in the potholes. Just thinking of the mess South of Maneadero, where there are miles of dirt bypasses. It had rained just before we went through earlier in the month. Mud and more mud.

same with us. we got a splattering in the mud both directions..... just warshed it off the truck today. maybe tomorrow for the trailer....

we finally have a sweet sunny day here today on the mid pacific coast after a week of foggy gloomy weather and even a few hours of rain over the last couple days...the pithaya will love it...margaritas here we come!

thanks for the reality check.. had forgotten last years "rain"... and it's effect on a lot of Baja...

he's refering to the road widening going on south of maneadero. the rain damaged roads/bridges are coming along and the bypasses are paved and as good or better than what washed away..... go figure:?:

well, must say that is good news... and really pretty good on folks that work on the roads and bridges down here.. sorry about the other...

the rain and the trucks turn pot holes into something else real quick.. up here on the old road south of Rosarito... one new stretch just before Primo Tapia was done in "concrete"... that should stay for a while... the asphalt just gets "chewed" up..

I seem to recall a good deal of dirt bypasses. I agree that the bridge bypasses are really no problem- they are paved. But, where it's jsut road work, lotsa dirt. And, as someone mentioned elsewhere, inasmuch as they are re-aligning and re-egineering the road, there's a great deal of earth being moved. It's not just a widening project. I also got stuck in an almost half hour stop where they were tearing down a hillside.
