A week ago my 20 year old step-daughter's house was broken into in the Lomas Hipodromo section of Tijuana. The perps took all of her high end clothes
and a $1,500.00 laptop still in the box. Even though she called the police and filed a report at the minesterio publico we figured that the culprits
would never be caught and her stuff is gone forever. She got a phone call this morning from Mexico police telling her that they had captured the
thieves and recovered her computer. She went to wherever they send you in cases like this and identified the culprits. They were a mother-daughter
team who had been to her house earlier asking for donated clothes, etc.
The team is headed to prison and so is the owner of a local internet cafe who purchased the laptop from them for a measly $100.00. My daughter told me
that the perps were still wearing her clothes in the line-up. The rest of the clothes, about $2,000.00 worth, was sold at a yard sale for a few pesos
per item. She's happy she got her laptop back, though.woody with a view - 10-20-2010 at 12:07 PM

"She got a phone call this morning from Mexico police..." Did you mean Mexico, as in DF, or Tijuana Police?
Glad they caught the perps. sanquintinsince73 - 10-20-2010 at 12:29 PM
