Road Condition South of Ensenada?

Anyone know what the condition of the road is South of Ensenada that is under construction? Leaving Fri. pulling a 16' trailer and thought the mud might be pretty bad on the construction detour. Any Nomads been through in the past day or two?

It can be a bit messy at times but they are doing a pretty good job to keep it passable for all. I suspect that as the rain dries up now it should improve a lot in the next 48 hours...

I was through there last Friday (south) and Sunday (north).

It is about 7-8km. Dry it is no problem, just slow with the trucks and construction equipment. But hope it is not raining at the time. The mud can get very bad and slow things down to a crawl. If it is wet, just go slow. You won't be the only one. The big trucks were crawling through when it was wet.

Just drove through yesterday afternoon, (Wed). Took about and extra hour to go the 8(?) miles or so.

The Contractor had bladed the loose mud off to the side and the windrow was up to knee high in places. It was still pretty slick on two of the uphills out of small drainages. I'm pulling a 26 ft trailer and would have been better off if I had locked the hubs in before I started and could have used the 4x4. I spun my way out of the drainages just like the semi's. Overall, it's very passable and seems to be drying out fast. I think that one day of sun and another blading and it'll be just fine, (but slow).

Now, if I can just get the extra 1000 lbs of mud off of the truck and trailer ......
