Hola amigos, I've asked a similar question regarding Saltillo tiles, but I'm looking for a place that sells floor tiles that look similar to saltillo
tiles, possibly a ceramic tile.
The key issue I've ran across that most I've seen get very slippery when wet. My installation will be under a palapa but gets wet when raining plus we
have an outside shower so the chances of walking on the tiles when wet are frequent.
I love the saltillo tile, but there's give and take with sealers and maintenance...
I'm in the Todos Santos area, so anywhere in LaPaz, Cabo or San Jose del Cabo will work.
Any other thoughts???? It's to late for a polido finish (thin colored concrete layer).

The Saltillo Tiles that I buy locally(Marin County, CA) come glazed or unglazed. The unglazed ones need to be sealed with a good quality tile/stone
sealer. I usually use three coats of sealer, it's like painting with water. When dry the tiles look the same as the unsealed ones. It's better to
seal them before installation as it makes grout clean up easier. Use a sanded grout or use a good mortar mix for larger grout joints.

I have a neighbor, here in Pheonix, that put his saltillo in upside down. They sealed it the same way,but it is rough enough to take the slip out of
it around the pool
