13 Killed at TJ Rehab

BillP - 10-25-2010 at 07:58 AM

Just when you think things are settling down.

TIJUANA — Gunmen burst into a drug rehabilitation center in eastern Tijuana Sunday night and shot 13 men, according to authorities on the scene.

The incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the neighborhood of Buenos Aires Sur. Residents of El Camino a la Recuperacion said that the victims were lined up and executed in a common area of the center.

A dozen residents lingered lingered outside hours later, while personnel from the medical examiner's office retrieved the corpses.

About 40 men lived at the center, including several who said they had been deported from the United States. Tijuana has numerous self-help centers where addicts come to kick their habits.

A statement is expected later today from the Baja California Attorney General's Office.

Well, they have kicked the habit for good.

I don't believe that's what they mean by "Tough Love", though.

They probably didn't have much of a future, anyway. As I've noted to mi esposa y otras many times when I contribute to the cripples at the border line "If they're in great shape, they're at a disadvantage being a Mexican in Mexico. Any disabilities and you're REALLY in a Hole".

Rehab clinics (in the USA) have always been a place to hide out when the heat's on.

Unless a truce is worked out there will be more and more... The Mexican gov't is out of viable options, actually- they never had any.

Mexico as well. This certainly isn't the first time this has happened here. The victims are, were cartel soldiers who were taken out to work when needed.
Dispensible street scum. No loss here. Thank whoever did it.

Baja Attorney General is reporting that this incident is possibly related to the seizure of 134 tons of pot last week. Also states that dope pushers are out in greater numbers trying to sell to school-age kids.
