Last time I went to Bahia de Christina was 5 years ago. I try to use different camps to experience whats out there.
This camp is about 4 miles south of Puertecitos. Used to operated by a dopehead that was recently ousted legally by his family. The old man resides in
San Felipe and has given the camp to his four siblings. Christina (picture below) says the camp will be divided up into fourths....this coming May.
She will retain the campsite area. The rest of the property is up in the air as far as what will be done with it.
Currently the camp has decent restrooms that are clean. Showers that use the ol' black barrel heating and works well. The campsites are
clean.....general area is too. However: the sewer pipe is still broken.....as it was 5 years ago. A simple fix....yet...?
The restaurant is not open to the public.....though you can go in and beg for a cup of coffee. very nice folks are working the place as caterers for
the new highway crews.
Christina speaks English very well....with her husband. The hubby was talkative about the "new" camp they are planning. Boat ramp, water tanks at each
campsite, lite sign at the highway ....and more. Oh....did I say "sewer pipe is still broken.....as it was 5 years ago" ? I take his words as b.s.
Shore fishing is very good there. Great for the kids to fish...and play on the sandy beach. Campsite fee is $12.00 usd

No....Campo Christina is north of Puertecitos a few miles....by Turtle Rock. The camp I am posting about is south about 4 miles....between
Puertecitos and Black Mountain roughly.
I will be back down there soon. Like me to check in on Max and Polly Bordon?

Max and Polly have been gone from Camp Christina for several years now. Last I heard - Yuma area?

I received an email from Max about 1&1/2 years ago, answered it and never received a response from Max. They were still in Yuma and Max said

Yes! That is what I was thinking. Where is the sewage going?
Many years ago I got hepatitis from from swimming in the ocean and eating conch at beach palapa restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. You could see the
sewage flowing down the gutters in the street and it would end up in the ocean. The city has since remedied that situation.

Its broken far away from the water. off the hill. No brown trouts in the surf.
