Yup, it is official - the fishing tournament is this Friday for signups and Saturday for fishing ... Come one, come all !!
grapevine says maybe mero or black sea bass will be on the list since fishing is lousy due to La Nina this year ..... 
But like a lot have said, one day isnt the real damage - every day fishing of mero
certainly is......

Here are some questions about the derby Blanca...
is it a Governors Cup tournament or just a local thing?
what are the prizes? catagories?
how much to enter?
will there be boats for people who just show up or do you need to bring your own boat?
proceeds go to?

this is the governor's cup, not local
100 pesos per person to get in
30th October start at 7 am ends at 3 to 4 pm weigh in
boats and captains will be available - price not yet determined
one prize per person allowed
1st = 15,000 pesos
2nd = 10,000 pesos
3rd = 8, 000 pesos
categories are JUREL AND GAROPA (yellowtail and grouper)

THERE IS A FEDERALE ON THE BEACH ASKING EVERYONE TO SHOW THEIR FISHING LICENSE AND BIOSPHERE BRACELET. PLEASE, THE LICENSE CAN BE GOTTEN ONLINE (PER
BAJANOMAD POST) AND THE BRACELET CAN BE GOTTEN IN G NEGRO. I WILL TRY TO GET A STASH BROGHT HERE. U2U ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION.
