I have this publication, although my edition is over 60 years old. It looks as if they're still using the same old photos. I would guess the light

Sailing inshore would mean constant clawing... not to mention dangerous reefs and fog. The best way to navigate the Baja coast is offshore,

I cleared inside Cedros. On the way down, sometimes I went offshore and sometimes close inshore depending on current, wind, clear maneuvering space
and depth.
Different people have different strategies and it's all good if you know what you are doing.
