"About 800 kilos of marijuana were seized by Mexican army troops near the area known as Puerto Salina north of Ensenada.

In a military statement reported that military personnel stationed in the municipality of Ensenada BC located a vehicle carrying drugs in Puerto Salinas.

In the process, one arrest, a Ford F350 1994 model white unmarked on board which were the 161 packages of marijuana that weighed 802 kilos.

Clone: $15 ~ $20 each, depending on strain
Dirt: cheap (pun intended)
Light: Sun, or t5's do really well for indoor grow
Fertilizer: organic
Time and effort: not much

Accomplishment factor: priceless knowing that you're not contributing to the blood on the streets of Mexico! As a caregiver for a medical marijuana patient I can honestly say that I have never purchased Mexican product.....BC? sure, Humbolt county...absolutely!

It's kind of like California avocado growers, they believe their product is superior to those imported from Mexico. I have a few of those trees as well. And Mexicans here thinking their cheese has a different flavor than what's available here. Everyone want a taste of home....so to speak. So maybe that seized weed is for the immigrants? for those who just want a cheaper product......???? But if you really want cheap folks......you get a license and grow your own.....at least on this side of the border anyway....

I believe that most of us in California and Nevada are either growing their own or buying from a dispensary/collective. Most know their product and most look for the highest grade, not imports.....

As far as bajaguy being a cop (?), well I don't know that he is or not. If he is well then he already knows that information and more. Besides most "cops" seeing the graveness of my medical marijuana patient always very politely look the other way.....most likely praying the same does not happen to them.....

I didn't post to "teach" bajaguy or anyone. I was only interested in the total amount seized for the month of November as it seemed like quite a haul, and the reported street value as a basis for comparison.

I'm also concerned about the after effect from the Cartels after losing what appears to be quite a haul. This is not a war on drugs, this is a war of greed, power and control.....

Just my 2 pesos....which is worth absolutely nothing.

He is, but he quit busting people for Jay-Walking and pocket mota a long time ago. He found out there's more to law enforcement than harrasment and power abuse. :lol:

Suggestions are always welcomed, but you may want to use the U2U button as this probably isn't the forum for that conversation.

But, I hope you're not going to suggest 600HPS or 1000HPS as it blows your electric bill out the roof and if you a bit more patient and can wait you'll get the results you're looking for in a T5. In my experience it's not the power of the bulb, it's the timing. Besides, I'm not growing for retail sales, just small quantity personal use.

I deliberately posted a simplistic approach in my response because the point I was trying to convey is that it is less expensive to grow your own. So just maybe if there are no buyers then the Cartels will have to start milking cows and making cheese!

There was really no other motive here.
