MY FATHERS FAMILY MIGRATED FROM SONORA MEXICO TO ALTA CALIFORNIA BEFORE CALIFORNIA WAS A STATE. VERY EASY TO PROVE BECAUSE OF RANCHO AND MISSION
RECORDS. I HAVE READ THAT I CAN APPLY FOR MEXICAN CITIZENSHIP. ANYONE KNOW ABOUT HOW AND WHERE?
THANKS |
It has to be your Father or Mother who was born in Mexico. My wife got her citizenship through her mother who was born in Mex. It was a very straight
forward process. If I remember correctly she just needed her mother's Mexican passport or birth certificate, $120 and a trip up to Santa Ana to take a
picture. The only right my wife does NOT have is the right to vote in Mexico. The nice thing is she can own property outright, no fideicomiso.
