Some additions to my July 4th trip page...

David K - 8-6-2004 at 10:39 PM

I have added the photo of FrankO and the twins. More GPS and milage data. More links... to the Las Flores Railroad line pics and a never before published GPS of the terminal platform, seen in the picture... that's Doc on the platform. It is just one of many area historical interest spots. http://community-2.webtv.net/Boojum1/704

Once I am done tinkering with the page, it will be relocated to VivaBaja.com so it is easy for you to find.

Las Flores RailRoad

Here's a picture I took of Doc on the elevated railroad bed, near the south terminal, where the ore buckets on the cable tram (coming down the mountain from the San Juan mines, dumped ore into the train cars.

The train engine is on display in the L.A. Bay Plaza. This photo is 5 miles south of Las Flores (which was the north end of the train line). Las Flores is also where the silver (and gold) ore was processed into ingots.

DK, how do you post photographs as you did that one, so some explanatory copy can be included?

I would just copy and paste... Did you read the Choral Pepper chapters I have been posting on the Historical Interest Forum? Those are all copy and paste... from Word.

I think you are asking: What if you have a photo with text? Transfer the photo, like I did above, then go back and use your mouse to copy and paste the text under the photo, by using 'edit' to add to the page with the photo.

Good luck!
