That Hippie Bus is NOT a Hippie Bus...it's name is..or was...Tortuga Verde and it was the normal wheels for Jimmy Sullivan who was "mayor of
Alfonsina's for years and years before he had a stroke and moved over to Papa's....he's currently in a nursing home in Tacoma.
Jimmy was the most un hippy guy you could ever imagine.

well, i had a bus that looked EXACTLY like that bus and i was a hippie...that qualifies it to a degree...what do you think of when you think of
"volkswagen bus"????
bonanza bucko - 11-26-2010 at 08:34 AM
I think of trying to pass it on a mountain road.
BTW: I was one of the first hippies back before the term was invented. I hung out in a campus coffee house called The Turk's Head..full of
"beatnicks."
We'll I was KINDA one of them...I had a crew cut and pressed chinos...I only hung out there because I lived in the apartment up the stairs.

VW bus... what do I think of? I think of dead heads in the slow lane, hopefully there in the slow lane. By the way, a joke; what do dead heads
listen to when they're not high? answer...bad music!

When did Mama add a counter and have ketchup and mustard on the tables??? Have you been there since the remodel and management change... things used
to be bad and expensive... but not the past couple of years. Where's ELINVESTI8R to comment?
