Nice ones---last one is my favorite---love the colors---so very peaceful and almost magical looking.

But I also like that house in the fog in browntones---it looks lonely as well it is!

Morning fog just before the sun was up. Could barely see the guy walking with his dog. I was sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee listening to the sea lions bark.

Mulegena - I take lots and lots of photos and delete 99% of them. Bound to get lucky and take an occasional one worth keeping.

It was great to have you guys back in town. I like the first photo because it looks like a pod of killer whales on the right...probably dolphins but that big fin reminded me of orcas...by the way, the crow is a raven!!! Nice photos for just learning to use the camera... we look forward to more! Glad the fog is gone now...pure sun.

Your shots are good, but you pointed out a shortcoming of digital photography. Ammo is cheap. With a film camera, one tends to spend a bit more time on technique before pulling the trigger. I believe it makes one a better photographer although it won't necessarily produce a better photo. Good luck is not to be laughed at.

It was great being there but we're glad to be back home in La Paz.

They were dolphins feeding out just beyond the surf.

You're right about it being a raven but ravens are crows.

Kate - we are back in town.

Dennis - looking back at some of my old film photos, it's pretty obvious that I can't lay claim to being much of a photographer so for me the Gatling gun approach is the way to go.

Sounds as though you must have a big box of negs stored out in the garage. You might consider getting one of these and resurrect some of your old stuff in the new manner. This scanner is ultra simple to use and affordable:

Seriously, wish you would visit that REST STOP sometime. See the nice picture of that house, there is a separate guest room there, and sometimes there are some really nice neighbors just above us. :yes:
