About 1/2 hour from the airport in La Paz there is 1000 ha (+/- 2500 acres of ranch property on a mesa above the town of Bonfil. It is not and never
was ejido land. The owner wants to sell off some parts of it. A good part of the property has views across the plane to the Bay of La Paz, the city,
mountains and Isla Espiritu Santo. It's quite beautiful, and there are lots of parts with real soil (not rock covered caliche). He wants $35,000 for
a 5 ha (12.5 acre) ranchito with a view of the water, $35,000 for a 10 ha ranchito without view, and $100,000 for a 100 ha (250 acre) parcel with some
views. There's also a huge area that has breathtaking views he is holding on to in the hopes and developer will want it in the future. We went out
last week and drove all over the property, it's quite amazing...I wouldn't mind being out there myself, but mi esposo says he has already done the big
property thing. If anyone in Nomad land is interested, I can send the pictures we took and some information.

We have driven some scrubby dirt roads in the Bonfil area, but until I looked at a Google satellite map I wasn't aware that there is a little
community out there, complete with a few swimming pools. It is a long way from anywhere, but it must have water and power, judging by all the trees
planted in neat rows.

Yes, the little town of Bonfil has lots of water. Their water supplies El Centenario and part of La Paz also. The town is nice, the folks are pretty
house proud...I was really surprised to see a swimming pool or two, flowers everywhere. It actually isn't a long way from anywhere...it's 15 minutes
from El Centenario and a 1/2 hour from the airport. Electricity, internet, cell phone and land line service.
