Sunrise wake-up call...again...Dec 5, Coyote Bay

Pompano - 12-3-2010 at 12:24 PM

It's the pre-dawn hour, and ...

...it's too cold out there ... brrrr ..throw another log on the fire, will ya!

...and..a little drumroll, if you please...?...

Imagine a rooster crowing here..."Erka-erka-erka-errrrrr.."

Okay..okay. sheesh.. I'm up..I'M UP!..yawn....

Some time later...time for a little bay kayaking.

And to hang some wet laundry out the easy-bachelor-way. Who needs a clothesline?

Now the sun is high..and so are these vultures...soaring up, up, up...into the heavens above. Only to come down again later, but hey..it's thier 'thing'.

.
.

And so it goes.... that's pretty much the start of another day in Paradise. ;)

Sigh, so jealous.

Do roosters really sound like "Erka-erka-erka-errrrrr.."???

Ah, Blane.. by Golly, I think you've nailed it. Yes, they do really sound like that.

And sometimes that sound is preceeded by a .."Cackle!Cackle!".. and a staccato whirring of wings beating mightily upwards...

Yeah..they sure sound like that alrighty...

..and ..

...and...then sometimes..sometimes.. they are quite silent...

.
.

This day has passed from sunrise..to sunset..and then into night...so..

As Co-Pilot was saying from Rome a while ago...
Buonanotte.

Great photos of your place in paradise... and, yes, roosters definately sound different down there! I can't even repeat what Audrey thinks they are actually trying to say when they cackle. Particularly the roosters in El Rosario next to the Sainai Motel.
Send me U2U if you really want to know.

So you are a bachelor for a while, Pomp? Does that mean to hell with the diet for now? ;)

"To hell with the diet for now?" Welllll...I am really, really trying my best, Bruno. Actually, I like the new-found energy, so NO, the diet stays.

Thanks for the beautiful sunrise.
I will wait for your coffee table book with all the great photos you have.
I did not know it got cold down on the east side of the Baja. I just though we were the cold ones here in Vicente Guerrero. WE have had ice 6 nights in a row.
Again thanks for the sunrise.

irenemm - 12-4-2010 at 09:07 PM

OH it was such a pleasure to meet you and hope you had a great trip home.
The new signs are up and you can not miss them.
I hope you stop again some time and bring co-pilot with you next trip.
thanks for stopping
Irene

Nope David...

.
On this day in 1991, Islamic militants in Lebanon release kidnapped American journalist Terry Anderson after 2,454 days in captivity.

And...on Dec 5th (today) in 1945 the 5-aircraft squadron was lost in the Bermuda Triangle...

..PLUS...on Dec 5th, 1941...drumroll....John Steinbeck's Sea of Cortez was published.

Now how about that...?
