next question:
I want to buy a map set for my Garmin Nuvi 765T. There appear to be two different maps:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Baja-Mexico-Topo-Software-map-for-Garmin...
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=253&pID=1456
which of these (or some other?) should I be using for Baja?
thanks in advance.

FYI, I bought a chip for my Garmin 200w but found if I download it I will loose all the original US data making only usable for Mexico. I haven't
done it yet because it's the only gps I have and I use it a lot in San Diego. I don't know if all the Garmins' work that way.
Glad for this Topic!

I am looking into this for a friends daughter as a Xmas Present. Not to mention my desire to have this on my Nuvi also. Hope this thread saves me all
the time researching cause I am swamped.

I too am very interested in other's input-------I have a Nuvi 205, and so far it is not that good on the really secondary roads, let alone 4x4 roads.
I have heard that there is software that you can buy for the dirt roads, but have not looked into it yet.
I do wonder what my options are, and the directions (manual) are not that swift.

Don't feel bad, I picked up a nuvi 855 a few months ago. It was supposed to have all of No. America . I guess no one at Garmin knows that Baja is part
of north america!!
However, for a "little" more dinero, I can download more software, that will have Mex., and Baja

The hits just keep coming...........

I bought the LB SD card for my Garmin 350 several years ago. Great for on-highway use, but I need to update it. The Baja SD card slips into the SD
slot on the Garmin unit. Does not affect any of the factory installed programs.

Purchased a Garmin 60CSx handheld for off highway use, need to get the Baja topo maps for it.

I posted above in Lowrance thread before seeing this one.
If you like, hop up there - I really like Mexico GPS Atlas from BiciMapas. I think Larry sells these. They do autorouting.
Good luck!
