Vehicle delivery over Christmas Break . .

Car / truck / MH delivery S to Baja Sur or N from Baja Sur

I'm available (again) to make another trip to Baja Sur. I can deliver a vehicle southbound & / or deliver a vehicle northbound during the Christmas / New Years holidays. I'd also be willing to share driving either direction.

I've done this a few times . . . similar trips for fellow Nomads in 08 and 09. Nice trips, no problems (I avoid them :-), and a I made a couple of new friends who were very happy to have their car home safely & to avoid the long drive & inherenent risks for those less experienced. I've been travelling Baja since the 70's.

I live in the Inland NW and own a place in Loreto, and could pick up / deliver to any city (with an airport) ~WA, OR ID CA AZ MT...

References available from my previous deliveries (both South and North), and lots of BajaNomad amigos.

I have a Christmas break vacation and I'd love to get out of the snow and have a little more sunshine ~ and I do still love the open road and the Baja landscape.

Already booked to fly down with my wife for a spring break vacation, but I'm available to do a solo delivery trip over Christmas (we work in the local school / college)...

U2U if you're considering / needing a vehicle delivery N or S.
Best,
djh

After my last delivery (Seattle to Los Cabos Dec. 09 ) from (new) friend Ron W.

;D I have other prior happy friends who would be happy to provide a reference too.

< Hi there David, just a note to let you know that things are going well down here, could you please send me your home address so that I can send you a little something. I hope that all is going good with you. The Deneli is going great and I want to thank you for a very professional job that you did getting it here and setting it all up.

If you have some extra time on your hands somewhere during the end of April or the month of May or the first part of June, I would really like to have your services again. You can reach me at my email or I have a Magic Jack now and the # for it is *** *** **** and is not long distance as it goes thru my internet.

Thank you again and I hope this finds you and yours in good health. Your amigo in Baja, Senior Ronaldo>

MIght I ask how you handle crossing the border with a vehicle in someone else's name? Sometimes you are asked about this by Mex officials. $$$ or something more official?

Hi Hook,

I had a letter from the owner, both in English and Spanish, (notarized, not that it would make much difference), and a copy of the owner's drivers license and passport attached.

I also had the MX. insurance policy in hand which named me as "additonally insured" also in both English and Spanish (per request of the MX insurance co.)

I didn't need either, of course ! I always cross at TJ just before the sun rises and I have found the MX border agents trying to rally from the twilight zone ~ just like the rest of us  ~ and I personally like getting through TJ and well past Ensenada as early as possible.

BTW, I did a PU & vintage Airstream delivery last Christmas and the letter I posted from Ron was from Christmas 08, not 09.... Now, where's MY coffee !;D

Best,
djh
