Such a large can of worms for a beautiful Sunday morning so I'll ask only one thing.....Why? What can't you get down here that you have to buy in the states?

It will have to be imported. I don't know if furniture stores will do all that for you.

I anxiously await other answers.

When furnishing my casa I found a very limited selection. It seemed I had a choice between "extremely rustico" or ultra modern and both at nearly twice the price than NOB. I ultimately purchased a good portion in the states and drove it down myself, then filled it in with key selections made in La Paz, Todos Santos and Cabo.

How long ago was that, Alan? I don't know why they closed their doors here in Ensenada the other day, but Ashley's is here with a reasonable selection and there are others.

4 years ago and for me in La Paz, Ensenada might as well be NOB

We, too, found that our taste in furniture was found NOB. We bought at several furniture stores, had it all delivered to our home in San Diego, then had it moved to Rosarito. We used Victor Salazar, 619-822-2615 San Diego number....or in Rosarito 661-612-5155 or 661-612-7240. His email is: fletesymudanzasdiaz@hotmail.com or fletesymudanzasdiaz@yahoo.com. We used him a year ago and he and his guys did a great job. Handled all the import stuff, etc. He was much less expensive than actual moving van companies, was able to keep the import tax low, and even assembled things needing assembly once delivered. He's been in business 30 years, but, like I said, we used him a year ago. Good luck!
