Was at a party here in Los Angeles last nite and the host - a Mexican guy - was serving the elusive Noche Buena, which I have never seen for sale in
LA (and rarely anywhere in CA for that matter). He told me he hasn't seen it here in 10 years, but this year they're selling at Costco of all places
so he bought for case.
Anyway, I proceeded to drink six of them. They're great.

Must've missed that thread, but regardless, stateside Nomads might be interested to know they can get some minus the smuggling. I normally loathe
really heavy beers (which is why I drink Tecate), but Noche just tastes like a richer Bohemia (same brewer I believe?), not some syrup-y microbrew

And while we're at it...has anyone ever seen Bohemia Obscura for sale in CA? Or even in Baja? I have read about it quite a bit and would love to try

It's on the cooler shelf with all the others in the big markets. I suppose the liquor stores have it as well.
The trick will be to find a bar that carries it.

WalMart on Dennery Rd. is selling Pepsi made in Mexico in glass bottles. They are good.

A mile down the road from the farm...there's a Mom and Pop store run by the Mexicans....and they have Bottle Pepsi! Just like what it used to. Rich
cola flavor...and a buzz of bubbles. My young son being an Coke Cola freak (Costco's bottled) says Pepsi was better.

I worked in a liquor store in the late 70s, Capo Beach, and we had Noche Buena. That's where I first saw it.
