We are driving to Cabo the day after Christmas with our cat.
I have a health certificate for him issued from the State of Hawaii dated 9/10 when we brought him over. Does anyone know if that is still considered
valid or if I have to get a new one prior to crossing?longlegsinlapaz - 12-14-2010 at 10:18 AM
Nope.....it has to be current....I believe dated not more than 5-days before crossing.
Edit: Try a search for dog or animal health certificates....there have been several posts containing current information over the past 2-3 months.

Search: "here at this website".
Upper left of this current screen you are viewing.
I'd just put my cats in our suitcases, save a buck or two.

Never ever in 20 plus years of traveling this peninsula, crosiing the border headed north or south, have I ever been asked for a "health" certificate.
The only requirement is a current rabies certificate. As a matter of fact i don't know anyone that has ever been asked about their cats or dogs.BajaBlanca - 12-14-2010 at 05:09 PM

One site I looked at said 10 days before entering. I have never been asked either but murphy's law tells me that if I don't have it they will ask me.

Thanks for the welcome Blanca, my hubby has stayed at your facilities on a couple of occasions, loves the fishing and your hospitality.
