Any rain in Ensenada and south?

msteve1014 - 12-17-2010 at 06:20 AM

Just wondering what the detours are looking like. Don't want to cancel a trip if my truck may get muddy.;D

woody with a view - 12-17-2010 at 06:26 AM

DENNIS - 12-17-2010 at 06:30 AM

Nothing but clear skies as of now. . Colder than a witches rack out there.

Weather forecast in Guerrero Negro looks good. Don't know how accurate it is though?

Have a great trip Mike, maybe see ya on the road on your way back!

DENNIS - 12-17-2010 at 02:52 PM

Clouding up a bit, but still dry here.

woody with a view - 12-17-2010 at 02:57 PM

f'in weather foreskins.... i need to cover my back porch. all the framing was done last weekend and i just need to sheath it and dry it in.

"IT"S GONNA RAIN UNTIL TUESDAY" they scream on every channel. even weatherunderground advised me to not do it.

reverse psychology is the name of my game, from this point forward. :fire:

Keep the updates coming Dennis. I will be up until 8:00, thanks.

Derek, we will have the big white trucks watching for each other.

ps. It's been raining here since before I made the first post

Clouding up in an ominouse way. We gonna get it...for sure.

msteve1014 - 12-17-2010 at 05:16 PM

Thats it, the trips off. I'm going to stay home and drink for 2 weeks.

That wouldn't be my choice, Steve. The forecast doesn't call for a lot of rain and it probably won't be going too far south.
The construction area below Maneadero won't have hub-deep mud and you can get cleaned up in San Vicente, so why call off a good trip?

msteve1014 - 12-17-2010 at 05:24 PM

Ok , you talked me into it. I will have the wife start putting things back in the truck while I screw around on the computer.

That probably means twelve hours before we see it.
Thanks, Woody.

Damn it Janet. That's not what I want to hear. Oh well, blue tarps for everyone.

BillP - 12-17-2010 at 06:36 PM

Got a kick out of the Weather Underground page. Under current conditions, the location of the PWS reporting says "firmly bolted to the big hill, Ensenada, Mexico." :)

I agree. F'n hilarious. I'm gonna try that one out Wednesday night before I head down Thursday morning: "Hey honey, where's the iPad? Oh, and don't forget to throw that extra spare in the back of the truck while you're loading my tools." BAM!

woody with a view - 12-17-2010 at 07:16 PM

i wouldn't recommend it boys. not on the way south. save that nugget for when you're packing to go home. that way you have an out. you can always say the stress of driving north caused your lapse in judgment....

i'm just saying.:light:

Paulina - 12-17-2010 at 07:26 PM

We are leaving tomorrow come hell or high rain waters.

Bring it on.

I can't think of a better excuse to miss work come January than being "rained out" in Baja.

I'll see some of you soon.

Feliz everything!

msteve1014 - 12-17-2010 at 08:02 PM

Thanks everyone for the info. I need my rest now if I am going to beat Russ to the mudhole.

mulegemichael - 12-17-2010 at 08:30 PM

ain't no mudhole down here, amigo....no P-nche lluvia!...nada1

DENNIS - 12-18-2010 at 01:53 PM

We had about enough rain last night to water the flowers and it's been cloudy most of today, but now the sun is trying to break through and I have no idea what it's going to do later.
Not much sense in being concerned about it, I guess.

woody with a view - 12-18-2010 at 01:56 PM

i'm fighting the urge to run to home depot. it will rain for sure once i load the plywood and roll roofing materials into the truck, so i won't go..... until next friday.

msteve1014 - 12-18-2010 at 07:59 PM

We are in La Bocana now. The detour area was great, much less dirt than 5 weeks ago. No rain in that area, there was even some dust flying.
