Can anyone tell us how we obtain the Tourist Card at the Border Crossing at San Ysadiro. Do we go through the lane that says Something to Declare or
use the other lanes? Where is the parking and the building where we get the card. I understand that we pay for the card at the Mexican Bank which is
located close to the Immigration Office? Can we excahnge dollars for pesos at the bank also?woody with a view - 12-17-2010 at 05:34 PM
go thru the far right lane. that iron gate WILL open at the last second as you approach. park on the left. ask the first Mexicano "donde migration?"
in your best gringo dialect. proceed in the direction indicated. it is so easy a caveman could do it, no offense.
i don't think THAT bank will give you 100's of dollars in pesos. bring $300 in 10's and 20's to hold you over for the first few days. find a bank ATM
later and get pesos that way, or just bring dollars. the locals would rather have dollars anyway.DENNIS - 12-17-2010 at 05:45 PM

Excellent technique. Add to that the visual that will immediatly convince your new friend that he/she will be assisting not just a Greeeengo, but one
in serious need by going slack-jawed and letting your eyes dance from light to light in the roof above.

There is now an exchange office right next to the bank, because you have to pay for the visa in pesos.lwpa - 12-18-2010 at 04:00 PM
