If you had an Extra Day!

rocmoc - 12-22-2010 at 04:46 PM

If you had an extra day, where would you spend it?

East Cape

La Paz

Todos Santos

Thanks,

You would be better served if you told us what floats your boat. All three of the places you listed have many reasons to visit. But, they are different. What are your preferences for spending the day? Fishing? Swimming? Boating? Hiking? Eating? Drinking? People watching? Shopping?

Me, personally, with one extra day, I'd head up to La Paz, enjoy the malecon. Spend some early afternoon time at La Perla with ceviche and margaritas, while watching the passing parade. Then, later, head up to Jesse's Tres Virgenes for some super victuals.

San Quintin Bay enjoying the bounty of the sea....and sub-agencia Tecate.

Do it all; dive, atv, dirtbike, race, fish, walk the beach, drink on the beach, sleep on the beach, look at architecture, theater & more. Each place was selected because of interest and each location currently has two days. So where do we spend three days, the extra day?

Thanks,

Is 3 days in La Paz too much? Leaning towards spending the extra day in La Paz.

Reasons,
it is the biggest city so should be the most to see & do
we will be spending an additional week in Cabo so we could drive to Todos Santos & East Cape if something catches our eye and needs more time.

Thanks for the help, LOL!

no question; east cape!

BajaBlanca - 12-23-2010 at 08:03 AM

i say: stay another day in la paz and go just a ways south to LA VENTANA. it is absolutely, no doubt about it, one of the most gorgeous places we have visited ... the color of the water is spectacular ... we ate at a restaurant with the upstairs tables facing the water INCREDIBLE !!

Sitting at our special table, next to the window, enjoying a Margarita at the Rancho Buena Vista on the East Cape.

You don't know where Anthony's is?!?!?! Wow!!! To many a red blooded American young man, Anthony's is considered a rite of passage.

After Anthonys (Ensenada), I would head to the movie theater to see Hercules meets Godzilla.

David K - 12-23-2010 at 10:13 AM

None of those places! It takes three days of daylight driving just to get there from the border!

The San Felipe-Puertecitos area has possibilities for all your mentioned activities (and is 2-3 HOURS, not days from the border):
"Fishing? Swimming? Boating? Hiking? Eating? Drinking? People watching? Shopping?"

and most of the added items in your follow-up:
"dive, atv, dirtbike, race, fish, walk the beach, drink on the beach, sleep on the beach."

because I live in TS, I would pick La Paz and the beaches north. Tecelote i.e.

I'll bet you were there during the day.

Thanks we always do. Just sorry we missed the window to use the RV instead of flying down. I just finished rebuilding the suspension and repairing the frig & heater. Toyhaulers were just not made to be enjoyed 100,000+ miles. At least we are going to make it down for a couple of weeks and we will get to check out some sites for possible trip in the future with the RV. Was looking at old photos today and the last time we were in Cabo area was exactly 15 years ago the same days.
