Has anyone had any problems bringing any kind of fruit tree in through Tiajauna?

There are great nurseries in Baja. One can find any sort of citrus. Over in San Felipe....I found a Blood Orange of all things! I am sure there are a few BN's here that live near TJ can tell you where the nurseries area.

I just thought you may want this info......:-)

Yep....Lots of Viveros around here....Palms...Citrus....I don't know what else, but it's here.
I think trees could present a problem at the border what with spraying for bichos and stuff. They could make a big thing of it as they know too well how to do.

Don't know where you are, but there's a huge nursery in Guadalupe Valley, right in town. You could have a multi-tasking trip....get ruined on Vino and buy some trees. What could be better?

let me add this too....

Citrus are high water consumers. If you are trucking in your water to your Pila....:-(

Also....you will see little limes, oranges, and lemons in the local market. These varieties do better in Baja due to their thicker skin and smaller fruit product. You should plants these and not the trees you see in a California nursery .

U2 me and I will submit you a plant list. We own a landscape company and a farm.......

Amigos, in GN they check for citrus--fruits, oranges, etc and they are not allowed into BCS thus the 10 pesos soap job. Fruit flies are the culprit I believe! You can find citrus trees that are sold in BCS--La Paz and they do well down here. Suerte. Tio
