I am a brand new Nomad on my first post...I am single and drive a small Class C Motorhome arriving in La Paz around 4th March and heading upto Canada,
never been to Baja so want to see everything especially the whales I have about a month and I have great books on Baja...I love hiking, boondocking
and seeing wildlife any advice re: routes, places to stay, tours will be greatly appreciated...I thought perhaps do a tour through Todas and Cabo then
start to head north and catch the whales on as many tours as needed...thanks Les

Hey Les, I have read your blog since you began posting and enjoyed the tales of your travels on the mainland.
The Nomads here have "all" the information you will need, they are a bunch of smart and able Baja travelers.
Arriving on the ferry from the mainland into La Paz will be a great starting place for your trip up the peninsula and you should be able to meet up
with some friendly Nomads along the way.
You will probably have problems finding Canadian hockey games on T.V. but could do some soccer game officiating in Baja.

Whales will be fewer in numbers in March, so don't spend too much time south of La Paz. Make first whale stop at Magdalena Bay (Puerto Lopez Mateos).
You would love a Great Mural mule trip into canyons of San Francisco. You would need a duffle bag of camping stuff (to pack on mule) and meals for 3
days.

visit la ventana which is near la paz, if you can. i thought it was one of the most gorgeous oceans I have ever seen ... green and blue and amazingly
pretty
stop in Loreto and stay at the Coco Cabanas - say hi to Steven - just foloow the signs you will see around town

she has a free museum with very interesting history, she has local arts and crafts for sale, she has tons of books on Baja
Keep an eye out for MIKE YOUNGHUSBAND - go down down down on this page and you will see a picture of him and his donkey and his dog - they are
traveling by foot from Tecate to Cabo San Lucas. Take him to lunch and listen to his yarns.
If you want a taste of very small town village life, visit La Bocana.
And for parties and great beach and mucho fun - defintely visit Shari in Bahia Asuncion.
I wd love the link to your blog too, as we plan to go to the mainland for our very first drive there ...
