David K - 1-6-2011 at 11:47 PM

You are correct BajaCat...

for extra points, what is the church's name (hint: a saint) and who is credited for designing it?

Curt63 - 1-7-2011 at 05:34 PM

#1 Bahia Asuncion
#3 Loreto
Bonus Los Tres Virgenes East of San Ignacio

Suzie - 1-7-2011 at 05:50 PM

Alexander Gustave Eiffel is credited with designing the cast iron, pre-fab church... yes! Built in 1897 and shipped to Santa Rosalia following the World's Fair in Paris (1898) where it was originally assembled.

The Church is named for Santa (Saint) Barbara.

rts551 - 1-9-2011 at 12:32 PM

my home town.

David K - 1-9-2011 at 12:35 PM

YUP! It is either Tucson or Punta Abreojos!:light:

(Whistler and Fishin' Rich oh, and Capt. Sharky and wife Deborah used to live there part time, right?)

rts551 - 1-9-2011 at 12:51 PM

Rich full time, the rest still part time

David K - 1-9-2011 at 01:09 PM

My kids and I used to have fun hiking with Rich in the desert, and then that day trip to Guadalupe I rode in his truck and joining us was elgatoloco, Barb, and David Eidell.

Is Roja still around?

Elizabeth and I last saw Rich at his San Diego house as he was prepping for the move south.

If you talk to him, tell him to drop me a line... his old email addy didn't work last time I tried. In 2007 we drove around town looking for his truck or any Nomad before we moved on.

Thanks Ralph.

Punta Cabras group camp, 2001... that's Rich on the right:

Elgatoloco, Baja Barb and Fishin' Rich in Guadalupe, 2001:

Feb. 2002, Viva Baja #3, Desert Bull and Fishin' Rich who came to have fun following back surgery!:
