I tried to find a match for you, but this is as close as I can come for now...
My Canada honkers have much bigger drumsticks...but are not nearly as tasty as your quail.

Valley Quail are by far the best table fare in the hunting world! I serve them many ways. Usually as an appetizer but there is a meal in 3 or 4. Sweet
White meat just spit out the pellets though...

Funny story actually, she was about a 98 pound gal shooting all kinds of high powered guns and assault rifles. Her gentleman friend cameup after she
asked me for help clearing one of her rifles. I don't think he liked sitting in the car and watching all of the range guys slobbering!
To answer your question it was a semi-auto but there are legal full autos in the area
