We ran into our freind Javier Martinez Garza yesterday in Ensenada while shopping and he told us that he has split with La Manzanilla and has started
his own restaurant called Boules in San Miguel.
Our last few times at Manzanilla have sadly been lacking in our opinion, just not up to its past splendour. I suspect the new location and the pared
down menu has something to do with it. Javier was always a wonderful charismatic host at La Manzanilla and Benito cannot seem to fill his shoes. So we
wish Javs all the best wit his new venture and will have to try it very soon!
