Getting down now to some serious planning for my first Baja trip and any help would really be appreciated...I have been reading past questions and
have learned lots but here is my plan..I am driving solo a 23 foot Class C motorhome and have a 49cc scooter as my tow vehicle..I plan to take the
ferry from Mazatlan to La Paz around 2nd March and leave throughTecate around 4th April....my main plan is to go whale watching both tours and from
beaches as much as can..I love to boon dock, hike and any water sports will also rent a kayak many times....i would like to see the festival in La Paz
and see Todos Santos..would i have time to do a quick loop of southern Baja and still be in time to see whales mid March, routes , roads that I can
and cannot drive the RV, boondocking places...I do have Church's book...any help thanks Les

Les, the mecca for boondocking used to be at Ligui, a bit south of Loreto, and half a dozen beaches around Concepcion Bay just south of Mulege. I am
not sure if the camping at Punta Chivato is open or not.
Start checking into a decision on whether to take the road to Laguna San Ignacio to see the whales or head to Guerrero Negro. The whales seem to be
friendlier at San ignacio, and remember this is true boondock camping so load up on groceries and fuel before you turn off the highway at San Ignacio
(which in itself is worth a day or two).
Bahia de Los Angeles is another spot you might want to take a look at. Use the scooter to check out the beautiful desert nearby.

San Ignacio is so wonderful .... both the town and the whales-watching. The lagoon just won an award for being extremely eco-friendly and conscious
.... they got a lot of cash and I bet will be expanding.
In San Ignacio check out the museum that Juanita has at Casa Leree.
Have a most wonderful trip - planning is very important but be ready for some adventure .....it is part of the fun !!
