divided among passengers. In two hours, you truly see everything.
Whale watching in Lopez Mateos is divided into four companies: "Aquendi, Union de Lancheras, Pangas Rosas, & Sergio Tapia".
They 're all obligated to charge the same rate being 800 pesos/hour, roughly 64 USD. Dennis charges the required rates, but gives his people a longer
ride. Dennis on his panga comments "there are around 20 whales in the bay, having seen newborn whales just yesterday".

Can't believe it has been so long, but it was 2005 when we were there last. That year we went whale watching in all three lagoons-

Most impressive thing was when the guide saw some trash in the water, he turned around, slowed down and pulled the trash from the water --- a very
good thing.
The building in your photo was a different color then---
It was so peaceful out on that lagoon---we need to return! And, I love what Dennis would say!!

Not sure about the time, but 20 whales is chump change when compared to the birthing lagoons North of there where there are hundreds. However, he
appears to run a quality operation. Just saying that unless you are in La Paz or Cabo and Jonesing to see the Ballenas Gris, folks coming down from El

great post and 800 pesos is a real bargain. That lagoon runs a good operation and did you know it is the only place that is patrolled daily by
fisheries to protect whales from harassment? BRAVO!!!! It is MUCH better patrolled and protected than the biosphere reserve lagoons...strange eh.
I heard tickets at Malarrimo were 600 pesos per person now.
