At a local party i was the only one who would eat the worm.

Eating the worm keeps you from getting to drunk.......when sharing the bottle everyone who is scared of the worm drinks more leaving you only the last little bit with the worm:lol::lol::lol:

we used to buy that rot gut in oaxaca back in the 80's. the worm tasted just like chewing a matchbook cover (cardboard). it doesn't squirt like a cherry tomato if that makes you feel better about trying it!

My kids dig up worms in the yard and eat them.

BooJumMan - 2-5-2011 at 08:43 PM

While on topic, whats the story behind the worm anyways?

just a gag. it's a caterpillar larvea or something that lives on the maguey plant. some people swear to have seen Quetzalcoatl after a night of drinking mezcal and eating the worm..... you'll never know until you try it.
