At least we will be able to take the train to hang out and surf at The Quatro Casas Four Seasons and the Le Meriden Shipwrecks Resort and Spa!
I suggest everyone head south as much as possible as soon as possible.

I just watched a special on surfing the wake of said container and oil ships. Pretty poor shape but LOOOOOOOONG ride !

i can't imagine , or don't want to, the increase in traffic with all the 18 wheelers with cago containers travelling between colonet and the
border-sheesh! what a nightmare!(look for a huge increase in roadside shrines).....

It's bound to happen one day but, so far the ma?ana effect is still very much in operation here, as it always has been.

Having seen Lazaro Card##as' port and surfing mentioned in this post, I expected someone to remember the disastrous effect of the breakwater at Lazaro
in the early 80's, on the surf at Petacalco, which before had 12' waves on a normal day.

Back when the English tried to grow wheat in San Quintin, they put down 20 miles of railroad tracks as the first section of a line that would haul the
flour north. The route layed out turned east to Valle Trinidad.
The new 'Puerto Colonet' to Yuma RR would do the same and continue through the San Matias Pass following Hwy. 3 then heading north along Hwy. 5. The
terrain gives few choices for railroad routes in Baja.
