Just a comment in case anyone doesn't know - Loma Azul is in Mulege, and overlooks the lighthouse.

Von - 2-4-2011 at 04:39 PM

Overlooks the light house what about the ocean?

Cypress - 2-4-2011 at 05:07 PM

Let me guess. The light house is on the ocean and you're looking at the lighthouse and ???:D

cessna821 - 2-4-2011 at 05:15 PM

OK, OK!

For those who have not had the good fortune to experience this part of Mulegé - Loma Azul is on a rise to the north of the lighthouse and the river mouth and overlooks Bahia Concepcion, in the Sea of Cortez.

The ocean is miles away to the south.

I'm confused...

Mexray - 10-11-2011 at 09:38 PM

...Bahia Concepcion is about 10 miles SOUTH of the lighthouse in Mulege???

BajaDanD - 10-11-2011 at 10:22 PM

Not confused
The Sea of Cortez is not the Ocean. The ocean is down around Cabo somewhere :biggrin:

Hola cessna821,

Buena suerte ... que tu próxima vista será tan bueno! Good luck ..may your next view be as good!

I thought I could help out with these two photos taken from the same casa quite near your Loma Azul area. I don't imagine these are so different than those views from your house, correcta?

This first one was taken right after Hurricane John 2006..showing the lighthouse as a temporary island due to the flooding river creating wash-outs. I zoomed on this pic.

Second one taken Dec 2009 and shows these great views in this order:

- the Sea of Cortez, Pt. Conception, the Mulege lighthouse...and there..right over MacyMan's rapidly thinning hairline ......the entrance to famous Conception Bay.

(hope that helps, cessna)

(Hey Macy...why don't you introduce me to this gorgeous senorita?)

For my money, I think Loma Azul is the best place to live in Mulege proper.

But I dont have much money..................

Good breezes up there in the warm months. Above a large percentage of the insects that hang near the river................like the ones at Jungle Jim's.

Cessna, you probably should address the question of the land's title. Ya know it's coming in about 2 seconds.
