TJ road to the Beach

Construction in both directions with crews digging and cops directing traffic. Not good. The drive from the border crossing at SY to Playas is 30-40 minutes. Going to the border, routing through town starting at the cemetary.

Take the old road at the Indian glorietta. In and out of town.

GOOD to know... Sounds like Otay to Corredor 2000 is a better choice for southbound traffic from San Diego!?

Glad to see that they've started back up again. The "carretera internacional" is an embarrassment to Mexico. That is one of the first things tourists see when they enter Mexico and drive south. The potholes were horrendous. Now they need to demolish all of those old buildings to the left as you drive south.

a couple of trips ago we saw a group of guys standing over another druggie who looked to be flexing his fist in anticipation of finding a vein along those old houses. right at the curb.....

Absolutely agree. One would think that the first impression for so many visitors should be a better one than what's there right now.
