When in Zihuatanejo....

....I recommend Casa Tucanes-
We just moved out of here yesterday just to try something in town. Likely will go back for 2-3 weeks again as town is a bit too busy. Casa Tucanes
on La Ropa beach is just 10 minutes to town by using the 5.5 peso bus.
La Ropa Beach is the big long one on the right side, and to the south of town-
Don't miss the mercado publico. The best prices and by far-
We are "stuck" here for 40 days until the condo we just bought closes then back to Bahia Concepcion and hoping the cold winds we are being told about
have passed.
Speaking of Bahia Concepcion...a shameless plug for the casa we have put up for sale there- http://www.bajaquest.com/re1580/BajaBlanca - 2-10-2011 at 07:26 PM

Blanca, did you eat at that big restaurant in the square in Colima-think it was our favorite place on our trip-we had a group of 10 and in this place
they bring you gigundo amounts of tapas for free and you only pay for drinks. Think our bill was $80 and we were all stuffed with delicious food-BajaBlanca - 2-10-2011 at 08:09 PM
missed the meal since we were only there for breakfast and then moved on ... but the breakfasts in all town squares have been a delight to see and
eat. Huge meals for not a lot of moolah.
but les says that while at a similar place on the square in oaxaca, he had the same experience, i was running around looking at historical sites, he
was having a beer, or two or three and every time a beer came, a tapa came with !!!!
Lauri - we r so enjoying all the new experiences ....durrelllrobert - 2-11-2011 at 12:41 PM
I was expecting photos of the Zihuatanejo just south of Xtapa. where is this Zihuatanejo ?BajaBruno - 2-11-2011 at 06:06 PM
I sailed a boat into Zihuatanejo in about 1989 and stayed for a couple of weeks. It was just a sleepy village then, still well insulated from Ixtapa.
It has changed dramatically, as have most places.
Nice photos, thanks.BajaBlanca - 2-11-2011 at 07:51 PM
the zihuatanejo i put pics of is just south of ixtapa .... casamanzana's pics, i think, are of the same place only they are further south from where
we stayed....
