Trojan 8v Batteries

LaTijereta - 2-12-2011 at 12:09 PM

Looking for a place here in Loreto or La Paz that would carry golf cart batteries?
Looking to get (2) Trojan 8volt "T-875" batteries to help a friend with his "stranded" golf cart:cool:

Try the golfcourse in Nopolo. Never seen Trojans here.
Had a hell of a time finding 6V batteries for my cart. Finally found them in La Paz. On Abosolo just past 5 de Febrero, on the right, green and white building/auto supplies. 6V batteries were about $100.00 each. No idea if they carry 8V.
Warning! If the cart has more than 2 batteries, they all should be replaced. Replacing 2 to go with old ones, substantially shortens their life.

Ed,
Thanks for the reply.. cart actually has (6) 8v batteries..
David Cunnignham (used to work at the golf club) is also searching around..
You don't have the name/ number of the place in La Paz?

Found the address:

Lubricantes Peninsulares,
Abosolo & Encinas,
tel: 122-0216. I believe the area code is 612.

Hope this helps.

Costco in Cabo has 6 volt golf cart batteries.

LTH does NOT manufacture 8-volt golf car batteries and they are not even very common north of the border. Eight six volt batteries would do the trick but where would you stick the other 2 batteries?

or 4-12v batteries

it must be a 48v system

Found a Trojan distributor in La Paz this afternoon..
Will consider a (4) 12v option, and let you know if that works...
Thanks for everyone's input!

In my 36V cart the six 6V batteries fit very precisely in the metal tray. Doubt very much that I could replace them with a different configuration of batteries.
Like modern cars. Better get an identical size battery when the original goes out, otherwise no fit. Speaking from experience.:P
