karmatourer - 2-15-2011 at 02:44 AM

is an FMM available 24/7? I don't want to wait for the banjercito to open like other crossing points.Maybe I should ask if the bank is open 24/7.
Thanks.

Go Fish

Use the "search" function at the bottom of this page.

karmatourer - 2-15-2011 at 04:21 PM

I did.
Now go away.

I believe he was just trying to be helpful.

LOL. Rude response, but I hear your angst.

The search function generally doesn't help much, brings back too much junk. Unspecific topic headings don't help either.

I thought the folks here with thousands of posts wanted nothing more than to answer questions, even if for the 20th time.

Answering questions is a good thing, but there are times the search function can be more productive toward that end. Someone who recalls a question that was answered extensivly in the past would be giving good advice to try and find the older thread that covered the subject.

I prefer to use the search format that is offered upper left side. If one query doesn't pay off, change the wording. It's not perfect and has frustrated me no end in the past, but it's worth a try.

Wise Use of Keywords, Grasshopper

Therein, the answer lies.

If I'm not mistaken , this is the same guy who thumbed his nose at Mexican Immigration laws and said he would live full time in the Cabo area with a FMM.

It is at the TOP of the page (Nomad Search)...

The search feature at the bottom is a Google Search and not nearly as precise as the Nomad search engine (from my zillions of uses)...

Hey...how's the new place going? You get you George Foreman Grill yet?

That search engine up above isn't always the best to deal with. I am not "too" stupid when it comes to PC stuff....but that search engine is too sensitive and precise. I tried to look back on some of my stuff and it comes up with "no results". ...many times. I just ask the question "again" here at the BN.

That George Foreman Grill.....why dont you stick that search engine button in that grill and fry it

karmatourer - 2-15-2011 at 08:41 PM

Doubtful.Maybe if the "GO FISH" in bold letters was omitted,I might believe you.
And once again,I did use the search feature.I'm not a n00b to forums.

Hopefully you're not referring to me.

The Google results can be more precise if you use quotation marks around key phrases. Essentially, the Nomad-site search feature does only that (but without the quotation marks).

Yup
