Trevor Baine, the 20 year old Daytona 500 winner, is donating his winnings, over a million dollars, to Mexican orphanages-Marc - 2-22-2011 at 08:59 PM
VERY COOL!BillP - 2-22-2011 at 09:20 PM
Just to clarify, the purse was $1.5 million, Trevor gets 35-40% depending on his contract, the car owner gets the rest.
Still, the orphanages are gonna get a sizable contribution,
He seems like a very nice, well grounded kid.wilderone - 2-23-2011 at 09:28 AM
That should make a huge difference to those kids. I hope the money is spent wisely.durrelllrobert - 2-23-2011 at 09:46 AM

I don't doubt his generosity, but where did you find this info? nothing on Google whoops! I didn't rfead the next post with the CNN link. However, it doesn't say how much of the purse he is donating to Back2Back or if
the $ will go to MX orpanages since it reads: Back2Back is an independent Christian charity working with orphans and the needy in Mexico, Nigeria and
India. Bayne was introduced to the charity by Lonnie Clouse, a former chaplain for NASCAR with Motor Racing Outreach, who is now on staff with
Back2Back.

Nothing like being on God's good side when you drive 200 MPH. BajaGeoff - 2-23-2011 at 01:55 PM
Super cool!
Regardless of the amount he donates, it is an amazing gesture for a 20 year old who just won a pile of money.krafty - 2-23-2011 at 07:51 PM
