Is the FMM or Forma Migratoria Multiple I bought through my travel club, Vagabundos, the same as the tourist card everyone is talking about? After I
cross the border in Tecate, where do I go and what is the procedure for entering? If I cross the border at 5 am and have already paid the fee for the
FMM, what else is there to do?

Usually, you need to stop at the border and take the thing you bought, which really just a payment receipt, and take that plus your passport to the
INM office to get the actual FMM and get your passport stamped. The thing that Vagabundos sells is just the bank receipt of pre-payment. When you come
to the no declare lane you can ask if you can park, they will tell you pull over often right in the lane or just forward, I haven't entered at Tecate
recently.

Perhaps... but previous FM-Ts that were pre-purchased required that they be activated at the border with a stamp. The passport is not stamped, since a
tourist card really isn't a true 'visa'.

You have to get the fmm stamped at the border by Mex IMM,
as posted, I also have had my passport stamped at entry,
is this necessary, don't know. There was a post of someone
stopped at G Negro, and asked by mex IMM why their Passports
were NOT stamped. Arguing that the fmm is not a visa
is semantics. It is permission to be in their country,
just like a visa
Tecate Immigration office open on Saturday?

Does the Tecate immigration office open at 5 am on Saturday like the border?

Just another weird quirk courtesy of Mexican IMM. Have always had my passport stamped when arriving by plane. Have never had it stamped when entering
by land. Go figure.
