I wish we could get good micro brews down here in BCS. The distributor mafias dictate to their restaurant customers what they can carry. Bajahowodd - 2-24-2011 at 03:18 PM

It's where you'll find Dennis when he's not at Sharkey's. A relatively new place at Punta Banda.DENNIS - 2-24-2011 at 03:19 PM

Sharkey's and I don't see each other any more. New management has flushed the place down the crapper.Bajahowodd - 2-24-2011 at 03:23 PM
So, you stay home Mondays and Tuesdays?DENNIS - 2-24-2011 at 03:29 PM

Tony...if you can find TJ Beer down there, you'll like it. They have a website. Perhaps you can find it and contact them to find out where
distributors are.
Seems the Micro Brewery trend is hitting Ensenada heavily. Others are scheduled to open soon in town. Young amateurs from monied familys [Hussongs,
for instance] are thinking it might be fun. It's like, everybody wants to make wine, now beer.DENNIS - 2-24-2011 at 03:32 PM

And more. I'm only good for two, three at the most of those heavy beers. Most of the time out there, I drink Pacifico, maybe twice a week. No more.
I'm not as bad as I've led people to believe. DENNIS - 2-24-2011 at 03:36 PM
There's a Micro Brewery trade show coming up in Ensenada. I'll get the details and post them here.
So, their website states that their product is available at all locations of CoMex, Walmart. Calimax and Smart & Final, would seem that Tony could
pick up a bunch on his way down to Mulege.
I know what I'll do on my next trip!
Nah...

The restaurants/bars have a choice. They can choose one particular distributor exclusively over another and get a substantial price break of they can
buy from both and pay substantially more. Also, the distributors sometimes arrange liquor licenses and loan monies against sales for an exclusive
contract. For most it's the only option for a business loan or license.
At one time Corona used to distribute TJ beer. Don't know if they still do, though. Also, Tecate sometimes carries Casta, a nice microbrew from
Chihuahua.
