Camping Beach Today - Coyote Bay - One of the Baja Favorites

Pompano - 2-25-2011 at 11:53 AM

These photos are from just a couple days ago. I'm trying to get caught up to date ...

...but it's a REAL STRUGGLE with all these poker games, fishing days.. not to mention several cantinas have lengthened 'Happy Hour.' ;)

So here we go:

Coyote Bay Camping Beach...

And for dessert, a couple pics from the Shrine of the Bay and some kayakers below:

Pretty calm waters, no? Don't forget to load those kayaks.

and....Happy Baja Camping!

Where is that whale shark that was hanging out there earlier?

mcfez - 2-25-2011 at 12:34 PM

These pictures are great.....
They also made be depressed for not being there!

What you say that water temp was? It certainly is clear.

I see there are campers right on the beach....4w not needed getting there?

dtutko1...Gone, I guess?

Whale sharks come and go...as they should.

mcfez...4WD is very rarely needed to reach Coyote Beach...very, very rarely.

The gill netters don't operate on a catch and release basis. Whale sharks= by-catch.

wessongroup - 2-25-2011 at 03:30 PM

Thanks .... that water looks so pretty....

mojo_norte - 2-25-2011 at 05:21 PM

roundtuit - 2-25-2011 at 09:19 PM

Thanks Roger, this is one of our most desirable places to spend a few days unwinding. Here's a shot from our last visit a few years ago.

Audrey is enjoying a beer break after we kayaked around the bay.

irenemm - 2-25-2011 at 09:38 PM

WOW as always your photos and information will make all love the baja. You should go to work for the Tourism Board.
What was the weather like?
sure makes me wanna go south even more so. Next year for sure.
thanks Roger

ENOUGH, already...

Mexray - 2-25-2011 at 11:24 PM

...we're sittin' here in Nor-Cal, freezing our butt's off - snow down to 1000 ft level today, got a couple of inches of rain, and even a funnel cloud up near Sacto town, tore off a couple of chicken coop roof's, and downed a few neighbors fences...:wow:

And to top it all off, you have to post those Bahia Pic's to really drive us over the 'edge'...

As Johnny Carson's Karnak may have said, "May a whale shark's guano float in to befoul your seaside camp!"....:smug:

bajamedic - 2-26-2011 at 09:16 AM

I keep coming back to this thread and looking at the photos, over and over. It is 20 degrees and clear outside with snow covering the ground... I think I will go back to the photos. JH

Shadows indicate a morning shot. I hope it's after 9AM.

Note:
An Ice COLD Pacifico is good any time of day! Enough said.:tumble:

OPPS...SORRY. A SLIGHT CHANGE HAS OCCURED.

Pompano - 2-26-2011 at 11:13 AM

These are TODAY'S photos of Coyote Bay. It's not exactly Global Warming..but something seems amiss here. :wow:

Do not try to cross over the bay to my house!

One good thing...no problem with keeping the catch cold..

Do not park too close to the water on windy days during this cool period.

Drive with Caution!..'Speedbumps' everywhere on the beach!

Sorry about the bad news, folks, but a news reporter must stick to the facts..fair and however unbalanced I may be at this moment. ;)

bajamedic - 2-26-2011 at 11:22 AM

Barry A. - 2-26-2011 at 11:32 AM
