1. The attorney I am using is absolutely fantastic. His name is gilberto pinedo and his email address is:

Trust me on this one, I saw him in action and he is great.
2. yesterday we went to an office where one gets in line in a garage beneat a gvt. bldg. then they move you and give you a number to put aroud your
neck. then u walk to second floor. they pass around a marker which you ignore since gilberto has your papers already marked. once upstairs, sit where
they tell u, give them papers, wait til they calll your name. leave via stairs. this is your MEXICO CLEAR OF CRIMES PAPER. gilberto drives you back to
your hotel.
3. today gilberto picked us up, took us to immig office. after he organized stuff for about 5 min., I got called to take the test. 5 multiple choice
questions out of the 100 we study. date. print name and sign. of course i got 100%. )))
4. you sign a number of forms, each of your index fingers (ie both hands) get fingerprinted about 4 times. sit down. wait about 15 min. get the
official entry form. end of story.
5. the lady at the counter said he was one of her best attorneys cause he always has EVERY paper correct. it was so painless.

Congrats! Received my citizenship 7 years ago. Hired Gilberto and he was very professional and made the process painless. Had no idea he was a
lawyer. Flew in to Mexico City for 2 days to start the process. Flew back six months later for two days to finish. Never took any test nor ever spoke

MEXICO CITY is where we are at and is where GILBERTO is too.
The test is written and is a random 5 out of the 100 they give you to study. I thought the test was oral and I thought I had to give the one, correct
answer on the spot.
to say that I have been studying non-stop for the past week is putting it lightly hahahaha I don't know how I had time to log on and write a blog or
take pics of this incredible city

Also, was there a test on fluency in Spanish or just Mexican history?

I have also heard that if you have had your FM2 for 5 years and are 62 you can get citizenship without any tests.

I asked Senor Gilberto that question in an email and he said over 60 no test.

There's a difference between Dual Citizenship and Naturalization.

wow...lots of questions, so here goes:
1. there are 100 questions, multiple choice, which one studies. all in espanol. and of the 100, a random 5 appear on a small sheet which you
answer in front of the immigration officials. in writing. no anthem needed anymore.
2. gilberto, as far as i know, does NOT speak English. ergo, you must speak spanish to deal with him.
3. we did not stay with his family but stayed at the HOTEL SAN DIEGO. It is close enough to the main zolcalo (square) and we were quite happy with
the facilities. Cost us 350 pesos a night for 2. restaurant is OK. Our main complaint is that the sheets and towels are washed in bleach every day
and are threadborn. when I asked why, I was told that this is the law since the flu epidemis a couple years ago. NO other hotel washed all sheets and
towels every day tho'.

process takes 4 - 6 months.
bajalinda is right - the process just started and now it is a question of waiting.

I used Pineada years ago, there was a couple of years of waiting involved and a couple of grand, but once we did the final signing, done! Free at
