Anyone know of a nice place to camp N. of San Quintin?

We just need a place to camp for the night on our way home. Pull in at dusk and leave first thing in the morning. From where we leave from on the way home, it's about a day's drive to S.Q. taking it safe and slow. We would rather not stay in a hotel. Thanks.

You can camp at Irene's place in Colonia Guerrero, just about 20 minutes north of here:

Posada is great.

if you want to be on the ocean continue north until the turnoff to san pedro martir/observatory. 100' north of the turn look for the main dirt road heading left, towards the coast. about 5 miles later when you get to the rock berm, with the white church on your right, turn left for 1/8 mile and you have arrived at Cuatro Casas. Richard, Teresa and Moscar are really cool. they'll even cook you dinner if you ask in advance. camp in front of their Hostel. $5 night.

Los Olivos is very nicely maintained, with showers, and Jardin's restaurant just down the street. Fees very reasonable - like $3.00 per person (?).

That's a turtle spawning area, yes?

All really great suggestions. This forum is a treasure trove.

Geez. Can't believe how many years it's been since I was at Quatro Casas con mi hija, the "real" surfer in the family.

Posada Don Diego driveway is on the west side of the highway... Go down a dirt road a short distance. Look for road just north of the propane plant as you enter Colonia V. Guerrero.
