Probably wont find the del Bosque. My new retailer in HMO bought quite a bit of it and got a good deal on it, which he passed along. I got it for 156
pesos.
Santa Carolina is a pretty common winery at most retailers. There is a Barrica (around 220 pesos) and a Reserva (about 90 pesos).
Wine life has gotten really sweet in the last couple months. The owner of my retail wine source in HMO saw us coming in every few months and dropping
some serious coin on wine. He asked if we lived in San Carlos (well, yeah, where else do 90% of the gringos live around here?). He pointed out that he
delivers wine to restaurants, bars and markets in the Guaymas/ San Carlos area each week. So now, whenever we need wine I just send him an email on
Tuesday and it's at my door on Wednesday. No delivery charge. This is saving me about 130 km. in each direction.
His prices are generally 10-40% off the list price of the wines. He's beating Sams and Costco and Walmart. |
