Just came back from having breakfast on the Malecon in San Felipe. What a beautiful sight. People everywhere, restaurants are very busy, Stores are
doing a brisk business. It will all be gone after the Score 250, but hopefully this will carry them through for a while. Lately, it seems like every
day another business closes up.
Also, the Food Bank(just received official paper work for new name, Voluntarios Sin Limites/ Volunteers without Limits) has to be out of the current
location by the end of the month. We think we may have found another location. The building is going to need some work, And there is a lot of stuff
that will have to be moved, so I will probably be putting out an SOS for help. More details when available.mcfez - 3-11-2011 at 10:47 AM
I will be there on the 26-27th for a few weeks. Will help for 3-4 days. Contact me with your contact info. deno@kissmygrass.com
Also have 3-16 year olds that will be happy to help for a day....I am sure.CDB - 3-11-2011 at 11:37 AM

Anyone here in San Felipe wish to help a bit?sancho - 3-11-2011 at 01:17 PM
I make it a point to drop some clothes, etc., a couple
times a yr., at your
old location, near the Arches. However I don't know how widely
known your effort in SF is to the average Gringo Tourist,
I encourage anyone I know to do a little something
for the SF residents, since we enjoy their town and

We are heading down to SF this weekend. Have room to bring things so give us some ideas of what is needed?? We would love to help out!TMW - 3-15-2011 at 12:35 PM
bajasuzie, they can use just about anything a family would need such as clothing, school supplies, blankets, towels, food etc. I took them a few bags
of rice, beans, flour and some can goods I got from Costco. They probably could use pots and pans you no longer need. Anything and everything helps.CDB - 3-15-2011 at 11:03 PM
Non perishable food items are always welcome. We also have a second hand store, so just about anything useful helps. Good used furniture and
appliances are really good. The other thing that is needed is Ensure. We provide therapy for disabled children and some can't eat solid food.

CDB-there is the blues fiesta next week which should bring some dinero to town...................CDB - 3-16-2011 at 12:16 PM
Wow Donjulio, you are on the ball. Thank you. The website is up, but Susan is still working on it. The number one priority is getting moved to the new
location. Looks like we might be able to start moving stuff tomorrow. If anyone has any boxes they can drop off, it would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone is coming down from the Phoenix area and has room for a case or more of diapers, please let me know.mcfez - 3-16-2011 at 01:05 PM

I have also...several sets of child's eye glasses. Are these in need down there too that you may want to handle?CDB - 3-17-2011 at 06:57 PM
Just talked to Paty and there are two kids who need hearing aids. Eye glasses are always needed, but when we get them, we give them to the Lions club
because they have a program specifically for that.mcfez - 3-17-2011 at 09:47 PM

Deno, I just talked to Paty in person and figured out there is one little girl that needs a hearing aid. Not two. On of these days her English and my
Spanish might get to the point where we understand each other a little better.mcfez - 3-18-2011 at 02:20 PM
