I have this volunteer growing out of my cactus pot.I'm thinking it may be a tomato?

You're thinking is correct!! That'd be a tomato plant.....if you'd stop spitting seeds all over.......! Most people just have that happen with watermelon seeds! Diver - 3-18-2011 at 05:54 PM
Yes, looks like a tomato plant.
Interesting; it will take much more water than the cactus would like.
Maybe you can transplant it to another pot ?Russ - 3-18-2011 at 06:05 PM
Thanks. I have a pot but will have to get some soil.

TOMATO SEEDLINGS ARE FOUND EVERYWHERE
Marla Daily - 3-19-2011 at 12:32 PM
"Wild" tomato seedlings in odd places are evidence of defecation by tomato-eating
people, animals and birds. Young tomato plants have been found growing, if only briefly,
even on the worlds highest mountains. They are set down in their own fertilizer. To see a young tomato plant is to know something or someone has
preceded you to that spot.BornFisher - 3-19-2011 at 02:53 PM
Schmush a leaf and smell it! Yeah it`s a tomato!
And Longlegs ain`t kidding about watermelons! I thinned my volunteers today and expect many more soon!! BYW watermelons are OK from your seeds.
