Very Nice! Where did you go in Baja?

Mexitron - 3-31-2011 at 12:37 PM

Nice pics! Bob----I'm thinking central northern near the coast (presence of Yucca valida and mossy, stunted Cirios)...could be anywhere along the Sisters but Santa Rosalillita area would be a guess.

OOOOO.... that is one scary looking tail photo...loved the rest of your photos though! Were you in Ojo de Liebre? looks like it from the pronghorn photo...was that at the Reserve camp? could the owner of that tail have been our pal Snarky?? any more pics of that tail?

I like the purple mtns one too.

Thanks for the nice comments. BobH-I was camping in the mountains off the road to San Francisquito. It's really beautiful there. 15 days and never saw a person.
Shari- No more tail pics but I don't think it was Snarky. I'm no expert but I think that's a deer, maybe a whited-tailed deer? not a pronghorn.
I found a few cool quartz crystals, rocks and even an arrowhead. When I have time I'll post some of those pics.

Thanks for sharing... looking good... that's some statement... 15 days... been a very long while since I've been like that... and something which has an effect...

Beautiful pictures, all! I have always wanted to camp out at the foot of the mountains! El Arco turnoff? The new , wide turnoff Hwy 1 is where I usually stop to let the dog out and stretch my legs. Must have been lots of good camping places. One of these days/years .... So much Baja, so little time!:smug: Tio
