The family and I are going to be Cabo for a couple days next week and I was looking for a good beach to take the kids to and hang out for the day. We
will be coming by cruise ship so we will be starting from the harbor and will limited transportation so the closer the better. I haven't been to Cabo
in about 10 year so any info would be great.mcfez - 4-3-2011 at 10:33 PM

Chileno is best if you have the time on shore. Great snorkeling to the west end of beach. Just blend with the other 200 snorkelers. No rental gear so
bring your own. Also, grab a bag of peas or cooked rice for the fish.
Make sure to either get rental car (too much time lost) or use taxi. Usually you have to pay standby time as they are not available all the day.
No drinks/food available at Chileno.
If you are paying standby (taxi) we prefer Viudas (widows) beach. Fewer people (locals only), great snorkeling and no vendors.
Have fun and leave the sea glass alone. We dibs!fishabductor - 4-4-2011 at 06:55 AM
just so you know Chileno beach is about 15 minutes outside of cabo, If you want to spend the day at the beachand don't care about seeing Cabo, then
this is the place.
If you want to do everything go to Medino.bajajudy - 4-4-2011 at 07:19 AM
Have you checked into a boat trip through your cruise line? They will take you to Chileno or Santa Maria. Medano beach is a zoo and not really good
for kids or swimming.fishabductor - 4-4-2011 at 07:35 AM

bajajudy...
Good point, I forgot about the water taxis...I always liked Medano...sort of like a freak show, esp. during spring break.
By the way it was nice meeting you at the arts fair.
